Due to recent restrictions, the easiest way to camp free in Moab is to car camp. It used to be you could camp far away from Moab but they have recently taken the adventure out of Moab now you are forced to camp with everyone else unless you car camp. That's what I did, it was free, and I was alone and able to move before 8:00 A.M

Springtime in the Moab desert is an amazing time! Greenery greats the white capped LaSalle's and red rock. Even the local animals seem to know it is only a short time before the heat grips the region.
I went down the Moab Daily with Sherri Griffiths highly experienced and locally renowned guide, Brenda Milligan. 20 plus years on the river makes Brenda an expert to the river, it's history, surroundings, and how to help you eat really well in a beautiful place. She mentioned that Michael J. Fox road on her boat on the same stretch she brought me on. According to Milligan, Fox was a very intelligent person who asked well thought out questions.
She was quick to point out wildlife, and even brought us to a small hidden slot canyon that most unknowingly just float right on by. The stretch was amazing and full of beauty. If you head down that way, I suggest you enjoy a day on the river and if you have a really good guide you will also get a great shot of some Dinosaur tracks.

Thanks for sharing. What are the exposure settings for the scenic showing the Milky Way?
F1.4 , 15 seconds, Iso 6400, 24mm, Canon 6d. I don’t believe I caught the Milky way that night but I had to take the shot. The moon was coming up and I only had 60 seconds to set up and capture the image. That’s the breaks of traveling with people that do not appreciate photography.
