- What to Bring
Always have at least a gallon of water per day per person when in the Moab area. I recommend a Garmin explore for emergency traffic. Bring cash for camping, bring your choice of camping gear, sun protection, and the gear you need for your type of adventure. If hiking in moonflower you can hike with almost any type of shoe without any added gear. Bring a camera though, you will want to remember this place.

Ranger checked our campground out at 8:oo am so don't even think of not paying for the site. They patrol heavily.

Great Canyon very close to Moab. There is a paid campground that is expensive, $50.00 and boasts about 6" of dust. If you travel up the canyon much further you can camp cheaper in a more secluded area. I suggest stopping by and looking at the Moonflower Canyon petroglyphs as you can drive right up to them. There is also a not strenuous 5-minute hike to a cool little pond of water below the cliffs. This canyon offers world-class rock climbing, hiking, biking, and Jeep trails. Enjoy!!!
